Pensa captures your thoughts with one gesture and turns them into clean text, entirely on your own device. Here are answers to the most common questions. If yours is not here, feel free to email.

What you need

• An iPhone with iOS 26 or later.
• For full enrichment (clean text, title, tags and the questions in the Think Room): an iPhone with Apple Intelligence, so an iPhone 15 Pro or newer, with Apple Intelligence turned on. Pensa also works on other devices, with a simpler clean-up.
• Optional: an Apple Watch with watchOS 26 or later. The Watch app comes with the iPhone app; if it does not appear on your Watch by itself, install it from the Watch app on your iPhone.

Frequently asked questions

Pensa does not record

Pensa needs access to the microphone. Turn it on in the Settings app › Pensa › Microphone.

How do I record without opening the app first?

• Tell Siri: "Record an idea with Pensa".
• Put Pensa on the Action Button or in Control Center.
• On Apple Watch: open Pensa and tap the button, or use the complication on your watch face. On an Apple Watch Ultra you can also use the Action Button.

The clean text looks like what I literally said

Then enrichment is running without Apple Intelligence: on a device without Apple Intelligence, or with it turned off. Your exact words and your recording are always kept; tap Audio, Verbatim or Clean on an idea to switch. You can also edit the clean text yourself.

How do I make sure I never lose anything?

Pensa makes a backup every day (a ZIP file with your recordings and text) in iCloud Drive › Pensa › Backups. You can make an extra backup in Settings › Backup (Never-Lost) › Back up now. On a new device or after reinstalling, bring it back with Restore from a backup…. Ideas that are already there are never overwritten.

Can a task go to my task app?

Yes. Open a task and choose Add to Reminders, or another task app you have installed (such as Things, OmniFocus, Todoist or TickTick). Microsoft To Do works through a shortcut in the Shortcuts app; the recipe is in the app under About Pensa › To your other apps.

How do I turn sync between my devices on or off?

In Settings › Sync between devices. Sync is optional and off by default. Delete account and server data… erases your account and everything on the server; the ideas on your device stay. See also the privacy policy.

Which languages does Pensa support?

The app is available in Dutch, English and Spanish. You can speak in Dutch and English, also mixed.

Reporting a problem

Email info@farcon.cloud with your device, your iOS version and what happened. If you test through TestFlight, take a screenshot in Pensa and send it with your comment through TestFlight.
